ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

It is impossible to travel the world today and not be stuck by the changes that are occurring, even in the most remote wilderness regions. Wild places everywhere are coming under increasing threat, and rapidly disappearing.

My belief is that protection of these wild lands, and the indigenous cultures that inhabit them, will come only through a broader public understanding and sensitivity. Rather than locking these remote areas away, and trying to keep them secret, I feel we need to raise awareness of the beauty that still remains on the planet. I hope that my photographs, stories, and writings help bring these hidden gems alive for others.

I also believe in using my business to help inspire solutions to the growing environmental crisis. To that end I have joined One Percent For The Planet - a group of small and large business that donate at least 1% of their annual net revenues to environmental organizations worldwide. I urge you to learn more about One Percent For The Planet, to patronize business that are already members, and to consider joining yourself.

My personal donations go towards Wildsight; a superbly professional group that works to protect biodiversity and encourage sustainability in the Columbia and Southern Rocky Mountains surrounding my home.
