I’ve always trusted my heart, which has led me on a somewhat unusual path.
HI, I'M
The beginnings were inauspicious. I was a shy, nerdy kid. Picked last in gym. Terrible at Art. Failed English. But I found math and science easy, and studied Engineering Physics at Queen's University.

Shortly after graduating I set off towards the Yukon, where I would guide raft and canoe journeys for the next 22 summers. Those experiences led to bigger expeditions; adventures from Everest to Arabia, from Africa to the Tropics. The journeys have never stopped, and by this point I’ve spent more than 3000 days in a tent.
Along the way I discovered a love for wilderness and remote cultures, and shared my excitement through photography and writinG. I made a few television shows. Moved to a little mountain town. Started a family. And for the last five years have been a sponsored paddleboard athlete on Starboard's Dream Team.

For more than twenty years I’ve spoken to corporate groups, and whether discussing Leadership, Teamwork, Change Management, Adaptability, Resilience, Grit or Safety, my remarks are always built around my core belief that everyone possesses vast reserves of potential.. Bringing that out into the world is the highest service we can offer others, and ourselves.
Hope to see you out there soon,
In the wild or on the stage :)
